Clone golf clubs- are they worth it part 2

Less Risk - More Cost - Go to a Certified Club Maker/Fitter

This is the best approach to obtain high quality clubs that are right for you personally. It is also the best way for most golfers to improve their games. The cost savings you would achieve in the other approaches will be gone, but you will have high quality clone golf clubs that fit your swing. Do top PGA Tour players use off-the-shelf standard clubs? Not on your life. Even though they endorse certain brands and use clubs from their sponsors, those clubs have been modified and customized for each player. If the best players in the world need to have their clubs customized for their individual swings, wouldn’t it benefit you as well, whose swing is less perfect? If you have a set of clubs made by a professional club maker/fitter who is certified by PCS (the Professional Clubmaker’s Society - try to find a PCS Class A clubmaker) or the GCA (Golf Clubmaker’s Assoc.), you will receive a set of clubs that will get everything possible out of your game. If this approach is beyond the means of your budget, it is possible to do a club fitting on-line. If you can find a professional accredited clubmaker from one of the two professional organizations mentioned above who offers on-line fitting and clubmaking services, that solution would be your best bet. To identify such a person, look on the web site of the PCA.

Some Basics Before Buying Clubs

Your professional club maker will collect a certain amount of data before choosing the components to make your clone golf clubs, and you should know this information even if you buy a set of standard, off-the-shelf clubs. He’ll measure your swing speed with both a driver and five iron. He’ll measure the distance from the floor to the top of our wrist to determine the proper length for your clubs (most standard clubs are too long). He will observe your swing and determine the proper loft for your driver and other clubs (most golfers use a driver with too little loft). He’ll determine if you normally slice or fade the ball and make necessary adjustments in the club face settings. He’ll ensure you have the proper lie angle on your irons, which can dramatically improve accuracy. In all there are more than two dozen adjustments a club maker can vary to optimize clubs for your swing, although of course some are more important than others.

Conclusion

You can approach procuring a set of clone golf clubs in three ways. You can simply find a web site that sells cheap clones, you can purchase quality components and assemble them yourself, or you can go to a certified professional club maker/fitter and get the best set possible for your game. Even if you can’t afford the latter approach, you should at least know your swing speeds in order to choose proper shafts, and you should get clubs that are the proper length and correct loft for your size and swing. In addition, I would highly recommend that anyone looking to invest in a new set of golf clubs read Tom Wishon’s book, “The Search for the Perfect Golf Club”.

Discounted golf product shopping

There is not a store in America that anyone actually wants to pay full price for an item. When you are buying golf equipment, you can go to many brick and mortar based buildings for golfing tools, balls, and other equipment or you can choose to explore resale shops, Pro Shops, and Internet shopping malls to find the best deals.

For discounted golf product shopping, people will scan the clearance areas of most internet sports equipment websites in search of the right make and model of golfing equipment that you already own. There are tremendous discounts in the newspaper ads too in your town for discounted golf products shopping enthusiasts consider because they are offered by people who are no longer interested in golf, or do not have enough time to play it anymore.

Some of the resale shops feature discounted golf product shopping items such as pre-owned clubs and bags. There may be a box or two of top quality golf balls that you can find in these resale shops that an avid golfer once purchased, but no longer needs. These pre-owned clubs might be slightly soiled, or have dents here and there on the handles, but if you need to create a second set of golfing clubs that you could keep at the office, it would be simply a marvelous choice for you.

The discounted golf product shopping items that you see at a close-out store, feature simply superb golfing equipment, but the quantities are quite limited. Some of these one-of-a-kind items are discounted golf product shopping items that you did not see in other retail outlets you visited, and you snatch those few items up immediately. You notice that the old retailer is still on the package, and it is a place that you used to buy some of your golfing products from throughout the year.

There are featured items in these golf outlets that give you a good price on some positively brilliant individual golf club designs. The discounted golf product shopping items are carefully considered, and you add a Sasquatch Driver with a graphite shaft to your club arsenal that you plan to keep in the trunk of your car.

There are many discounted golf product shopping sites on the Internet. Some rainy days at home are spent on the Internet, leisurely going from one site to the other looking for discounted golf product shopping deals. There are training aids on one site that you find particularly appealing. These VHS and DVD offerings will allow you to get in a few extra pointers for a very low price.

All in all, you have amassed quite a collection of golfing equipment on your discounted golf product shopping spree. By checking the forecasts on your local computer home page, you see that there are sunny skies predicted for the weekend, and hastily call the golf course for a tee time.

Your golfing buddies will be quite impressed with your new found golfing treasures. They will automatically know that you found some discounted golf product shopping items and will want to hear all about it as you go hole to hole on the 18-hole golf course.

Baccarat the history

Baccarat is the most sophisticated and upscale game at the casinos. Remember James Bond with the two beautiful girls hanging over the table while he rakes in a pile of chips of 10,000 or more. This is baccarat, simple to master, fun and easy to play.

To keep baccarat the game of high rollers, the casino generally puts the baccarat tables in their own room or behind velvet ropes. The dealers are dressed in tuxedos with a couple of girls dressed in evening gowns with low cut necklines.

What makes this simple game so appealing? That’s a question only the player can answer. Some say they love the simplicity of the game, others play because of the really low house edge and still others enjoy the James Bond affect with its sense of elegance and high stakes. One thing you will always hear is baccarat is a highly profitable game for the casino.

It is commonly accepted that the Italians invented baccarat and it was introduced in France during the reign of Charles VIII, who ruled from 1483 to 1498. The term baccarat in both Italian and French means “Zero” and was originally played with a Tarot deck. In medieval France, the game was popular with the French nobility, and it eventually evolved into “Chemin de Fer”, a variation that is stil played today. The game then migrated to England, where it underwent further development, and “European baccarat” emerged. Baccarat first spread to South America from England and eventually up to Cuba. Baccarat came to America through the casinos of Havana and was introduced in Vegas in the 1950’s. The game became more popular in Las Vegas largely through the efforts of Frank Sinatra who was co-owner of the Sands at the time. The game at that time was exclusively targeted to high rollers. In more recent years many US casinos are offering mini baccarat with lower steaks and played on a standard blackjack shaped table.

The baccarat table has three positions that you can place your bets on, player, banker and tie. The term player does not refer to you the gambling customer and banker does not refer to the house, they are simply an option on which gamblers can place their bets.

It is an unusual game in that any score of ten is worth zero or baccarat. Nine is the highest score that you can achieve. Two face cards would have a score of zero and a nine and six would not equal 15, but 5, you drop the leading digit. A nine and ace equal zero, with the ace counting as one. Only two cards are dealt to the player (gambler), on some occasions three cards, the hand with the highest count closer to 9 or 9 wins the bet. The tie bet is won when both hands are equal. This tie bet usually pays a multiple of the bet.

There are 3 accepted variations of baccarat: BaccaratChemin de Fer (railway), Baccarat Banque (or a deux tableau) and Punto Banco (North American baccarat). Punto Banco is played in the United States, Canada and Australia.

Mini baccarat is becoming very popular because of the lower stakes. It is essentially the same game as Punto Banco, but played on a table similar to a blackjack table. Baccarat and mini baccarat can be found at most casinos across the United States and Canada. Most online casinos have baccarat and it is very popular with because of the fast pace and the chance to win big bucks.

How to buy a mountain bike

In a perfect world you could buy any bike you wanted at a price you could afford, but in the real world mountain biking prices vary wildly. We provide some tips on what to look for.

Buying a house is just about the most important investment you can make in your life. Various means of transportation come second - from yachts or boats and cars to motorcycles. Acquiring a bicycle is not quite as expensive as that - but there are so many brands available, at so many different price ranges, that it behooves you to do a bit of research before you go out and spend any money.

Bikes can vary from used beaters to the top-of-the line road or mountain bikes. This article discusses how to go about buying a mountain bike.

How Much Will You Pay?

Are you already a biker, or are you just taking up the sport? Do you intend to ride daily, or only on weekends? Do you have a safe place to store your bike when you're not using it?

All of these are questions you musts ask yourself before you purchase your first bike. If you've only just become interested in the hobby of mountain biking, you don't want to buy a top-of-the-line thousand dollar bike until you're sure you'll get the use out of it. Of course there's a catch-22 there. Top-of-the-line bikes are so light and soooo nice that you'll probably fall in one, whereas if you get a poor bike to begin with it might sour you on the sport forever.

The best thing to do is test-ride as many bikes as you can in the various price ranges. Your local bike store won't let you test ride their bikes down a mountain - but you can rent bikes at the trailheads and give them a try.

Where Will You Buy

Any book or article you read will advise you not to buy a bike from a mass merchant store such as Wal-mart or Target. Why? Because they buy bottom of the range bikes which they can sell cheaply, and the bikes are not necessarily put together well. Whereas if you buy even the most inexpensive child's bike from a bike store, it'll be lighter than the mass market version, and the store people will ensure that it fits your child.

So, you can either support your local bike store or buy online. It's usually best to buy from your bike store to begin with, as they can help you fit the bike and give you advice. If you've ridden for years and years and know what you need, buying online does make sense.

What Will You Buy?

You'll ask yourself this question in conjunction with "how much will you pay." Again, it all comes down to how often you expect to use the bike. If you're planning on doing mostly road biking with the occasional cross country trip, and only once in a while going down an actual mountain... then you won't need the same kind of bike as someone who is strictly a downhiller.

Mountain bikes come in two different kinds - hard tail and full suspension. The hard tail has suspension in the front but not in the back - hence the term "hard tail." Full suspension bikes are more comfortable... but correspondingly more expensive.

When Will You Buy?

Just as car dealers sell models off at a discount at the end of their selling season, so will bike stores. If you live in an area with a "winter season," you're bound to see some winter season sales.

So don't be impatient... but don't deprive yourself of a summer of fun, either!

Texas holdem - learn to play texas hold em poker in minutes

As playing poker become more and more popular, it is increasingly more important for every day people to understand the importance of the game. Many people will be asked to play or watch the game in social situations and knowing how to play the game and knowing how the game works can make playing and watching more interesting and more fun. No one wants to be left out and the game provides an excellent past time for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Poker is a card game that requires that players vie for a central pot full of chips that may or may not represent money. The pot is awarded to the player with the best combination of cards or to the player who makes an uncalled bet.

Poker is a game with hundreds of variations, but all versions follow the same basic pattern. The dealing position rotates among all the players. This position is normally marked by a dealer button. In a casino, a house dealer handles the cards for each hand, and the button is rotated clockwise among the players to help the dealer determine the order of betting.

In some versions of poker, players are required to make forced bets called blinds or antes at the beginning of each hand to help raise the action in the game. The dealer shuffles, cuts and the cards are dealt to the players, one at a time, in a clockwise direction. After the deal, the first of several betting grounds begins. As the rounds progress, the players hands develop and the betting continues as more cards are dealt or previously dealt cards are replaced. All bets are gathered into the central pot.

When players bet during the betting round, opponents are required to fold, call or raise. If no opponents choose to match the bet or raise, the hand ends immediately and the bettor wins the pot. No cards are required to be shown and the next hand begins. Because the hand is not revealed, bluffing is possible.

If more than one player remains at the end of the last betting round, there will be a showdown. All remaining players must reveal their hands. The player with the best hand ranking wins the pot.

The three most popular variants of poker are draw poker, stud poker and community card poker.

In draw poker, players receive five or more cards, which are hidden and then can replace these cards a certain number of times throughout a hand.

In stud poker, players receive cards one a time, some of which are displayed to their opponents.

In community card poker, such as the ever popular Texas Hold’em, players receive hidden pocket cards one at a time and then receive other community cards which are displayed on the poker table.

Poker has been around for hundreds of years. Learning at least one variation of the game is time well spent. If you’re not sure which version to learn, try Texas Hold’em. It’s the most popular variant on the market today.

College sports show your colors

Here we go again! The time is near when students, new and old, are heading forth to their colleges and universities, and the entire nation is gearing up for another college sports season. Alumni, students, and fans alike can show their loyalty and true colors in many, many ways, and even stay warm in the process. As pro football moves indoors, college sports are more likely to be seen outside, rain or shine, together with their cheering and adoring fans.

The true fan will be well-prepared for the fall season. It’s important to remember that autumn usually means unpredictable weather, and the key to dressing is layering up. A true-blue fan will prefer to layer in his or her college colors, of course. After t-shirts in the summer, now come long-sleeved shirts for the crisp, cold season. Windbreakers and sweatshirts will also be seen everywhere, as well as lined jackets. Favorite team and college logos will be omnipresent, as expected. For headgear, baseball caps and floppy hats that kept the sun off your face and neck will give way to knit caps. There will also be matching gloves, mittens, and scarves, all emblazoned with logos and the school colors.

Is your college boy or girl a freshman this year? Then you might want to include some college sports fan gear to the clothes and dйcor list for the dorm room. Banners and posters work great for the walls, while soapboxes and even toothbrushes will give an additional school spirit for the ol’ alma mater in the shower. College jerseys will always be a great hit, and if your kid is playing intramural sports this year, replica jerseys like those of the varsity members will be sure to grab some attention. Round up the gym wardrobe with some workout gear like t-shirts, shorts, and even socks. How about Parent Weekend? This time it’s okay to dress up like your kids. A lot of colleges and universities also have special “parent-wear” available if you want.

College fan gear for almost all colleges is readily available not only at the nearest campus bookstore, but also in several department stores. Nowadays, the Internet is filled with reputable shops selling authentic college jerseys, fan gear, and college memorabilia. If you’re a fan, an alumni member, a student or even a collector, these online shops will be heaven. You can get college jerseys that match with any other fan gear you may already have, or if not, then you will have a nice head start!

Lots of game-used college jerseys are available online. For those who don’t know what “game used” means, it simply signifies that this particular jersey has been worn and used in an actual college game. Authentic game-used college jerseys are a significant part of any college memorabilia collection, and any fan or collector will be pleased to have one. There are lots of game-used college jerseys from all the major college sports and from almost all the colleges, from Air Force, Akron, and Alabama, down to William Penn, Wisconsin and Yale.

Get outfitted with your very own fan gear! Remember, get only authentic college jerseys, fan gear, and gym wear, and show your college spirit and loyalty. Go team!

Let bass boats enhance your fishing expedition

Fishing is a great American pastime, and thousands of bass fishermen set out each year to enjoy the great outdoors, fish for bass and swap tales of the big one that got away. Many people aren't aware that some boats are made specifically for bass fishing, and good bass boats can make all the difference between success and failure.

Bass boats allow fishermen to take their boats just about anywhere because of their speed, size and maneuverability. First however, there are a few basics to know about bass fishing boats.

Before you even buy bass boats, people must think about towing it from Point A to Point B. Will your vehicle easily be able to pull almost four thousand pounds, up and down hills if necessary? Think about that before you go shopping for any kind of boat. When considering bass boats, think about your options and the kind of boat you want.

Some things you need to consider are what types of water you'll be fishing in the majority of the time. Will you be fishing in rivers or small lakes? Then a smaller, outboard boat may be just what you're looking for. If you're going to be fishing in larger bodies of water, larger bass boats will be necessary, and at least nineteen feet in length, especially if you venture more than twenty to thirty miles from shore.

There are basically two kinds of bass boats: aluminum and fiberglass. An aluminum boat is cheaper than a fiberglass boat, and is more durable against bumps and scrapes. However, it also offers a rougher ride than a fiberglass boat. An aluminum bass boat gets tossed around in the wind fairly easily, but in small bodies of water, a sixteen to seventeen foot aluminum boat would be your best bet.

Fiberglass bass boats are faster than their aluminum counterparts, but a lot more expensive. When in the market for fiberglass bass boats, be prepared to spend anywhere from $20-$40 thousand dollars. However, this cost may be offset by better fuel economy, and they run much quieter and cleaner.

Depending on what part of the country you live in, the prices for bass boats may be reasonable or sky-high. Some people opt to purchase their boats out of state and then have them towed in, while others purchase bass boats and then store them on lakes or rivers and only use them a few times a year.

Next in considering purchasing bass boats are whether you want to buy a new one or a used one, but that's a personal decision everyone must make for himself or herself. There's more to fishing than just taking that old dingy out into the water, and bass fishing is a sport that can cost thousands of dollars a year for enthusiasts.

It's up to each individual to decide how much time they're going to spend bass fishing every year to determine whether buying bass boats will be worth the expense, but many bass fishermen say they can't live without their bass boats. For speed, agility and getting you to the best bass fishing spots out there, bass boats are definitely a must have for many anglers.

Cheap trampolines that are fun and safe

If you've been thinking that trampolines are too expensive for your checkbook to handle, you may be surprised at how cheap some of the budget models actually are. Manufacturers realize that not everyone can afford a deluxe trampoline with all of the bells and whistles and many of them have developed a line of cheap trampolines. Some people are afraid to buy a cheap trampoline because they think of poor workmanship or unsafe products when they hear cheap. However, lower cost trampolines are actually referred to as budget trampolines by the manufacturers and are simply a bit more cost effective.

Of course, not every budget trampoline is made the same way. Models that are made by a reputable manufacturer, such as AirMaster or Jumpking, are going to be made following the same safety standards and using the same quality workmanship used on more expensive models. Unbranded trampolines may not be made with the same attention and care and could be badly made or even unsafe.

If you do not consider the manufacturer and quality of the product as you look for a cheap trampoline, you may find that your enjoyable new purchase is nothing but one big frustration. Having your cheap, shoddily constructed trampoline break while the kids are jumping on it for the first or second time means that you've spent twenty five to fifty dollars a bounce! Of course, a poorly built trampoline is not just an annoyance; it is a safety hazard. You won't want to risk the health of your children with an unsafe model.

Luckily, there are quite a few trampoline manufacturers that care about quality and safety, even when they are making products for their budget lines. One clue that can help you decide if a company cares about its products is whether it stands behind them. If the budget trampoline you are looking at doesn't offer a guarantee or a warranty, then the manufacturer may not believe in its own product to offer one.

As you begin your search for a quality budget trampoline, you may be wondering if you can even afford to buy it. However, a basic eight foot round trampoline for beginning bouncers can be as inexpensive as $160 from an online store. This usually even includes shipping. If this is still a bit higher than you can afford, check out eBay. There are quite a few trampolines on eBay and many of them start at around $40. While some of these are used models, there are new ones, as well. Factories that are cleaning out their warehouses or companies that are having to liquidate their stock often use eBay to sell trampolines at wholesale prices.

If you prefer not to use eBay for major purchases, there is another option that may make that budget trampoline more affordable for you. Ask the online store of your choice if there is a financing option for more expensive items. As you check around, you may discover that some stores even provide interest free financing on models that are already in stock. This is the best option, since paying finance charges makes that cheap trampoline cost much more in the long run.

Best of all, once you have your new budget trampoline, you may find you save even more money than you were expecting. You may just bounce your way into shape and right out of that expensive gym membership you weren't using.

What you need to know about vinyl boat registration numbers

Vinyl Boat Registration Numbers

One of the first things a new boat owner must do before they go on their first ride is to apply their new vinyl registration numbers. Now I know the new boat owners may think it’s more important to put their vinyl lettering on their new boat for their name and port, but your vinyl registration numbers are an equivalent to your license plate on your car. So, if you don’t have them on, you could be fined by your local police and coastguard.

A couple of pointers on those vinyl registration numbers are;

• You first must take off the old vinyl registration numbers that were on the boat (that is if you did not purchase a new boat). The vinyl registration numbers are located on both sides of the bow or front of the boat.

• Make sure your vinyl boat registration numbers are 3 inches high

• Your new vinyl boat registration numbers should be block letters, in other words no fancy fonts. Your vinyl letters and numbers should be in one of the following fonts; Ariel, Helvetica, Avant Garde or something like them.

• Here is one a lot of new boat owners miss; your vinyl registration numbers/letters should be contradicting colors, in other words dark to light.

For example, if you have a dark colored boat, then your vinyl registration numbers/letters should be a light color. However, if your boat is white or light colored, the vinyl numbers and letters should be dark colored. If you use dark vinyl letters on a dark colored boat, they will be hard to read and you could be fined as a result.

To remove any vinyl numbers or letters(whether it be registration numbers or just the name of the boat), the best thing to use is a hair dryer. Use the hair dryer or (DO NOT DO THIS AS BOAT IS IN WATER)over vinyl (move back and forth) after a few seconds you should be able to start peeling the vinyl off. Then after the vinyl is off, clean the surface with a cleaner such as Windex, you might have to use a compound or a buffing wheel to get heavy dirt off.

There might be something after you take the old vinyl registration numbers and letters off. If it is not sticky or a film it is what’s known in the vinyl lettering world as “ghosting”. There is nothing you can do about this aside from painting the boat. However, your new vinyl letters and numbers should cover most of this.

So get those new vinyl registration numbers on your boat and get sailing or motoring!

Golf jobs tee off a lifestyle career

As a sport, the entertainment capacity of golf is beyond doubt. However, what a career in golf offers is much more than the entertainment factor. The big daddy of lifestyle sports, golf tenders monetary benefits, fame, travel, freedom and many more objects of desire.

The rewards of a career in the golf industry are numerous. Nothing is more desirable for a golfer than the opportunity to play golf daily and remain connected to it in every sense of the word. A golf job allows you to enjoy an entertainment packed lifestyle and get the advantage of converting your hobby into a rewarding career. For the passionate lovers of the game, a golf job is something that makes their world go round.

The apparent monetary benefits are another great attraction of golf jobs. Where else can you make $500,000 in a week? Besides the hefty prize monies, there are opportunities for lucrative commercial deals as well. Remember, this is the sport that made Tiger Woods the highest paid professional athlete in the world, with an estimated income of $87 million in the year 2005 alone.

Most people do not get to travel enough, even if they want to, just because their jobs don't allow them to. Here again, professional golfers belong to a different breed. They love to play new courses, and they travel regularly to some of the most beautiful places in the world because their work demands so.

The golf industry offers a lot of career opportunities. Apart from the 18,000 golf courses in the United States, there are numerous affiliated businesses. For any golf job, understanding the industry is as important as understanding the game. Professional schools that specialize in golf are a good place to start. Many world renowned professional golfers have reached where they are today after honing their skills at golf career academies.

Looking at golf from a different perspective, a player's career is just one of the several opportunities that golf can offer a lover of the game. Those passionate about the game can stay connected to it while applying their professional skills to other aspects linked to it. Golf offers career opportunities in sales, marketing, golf teaching and management. From professional to club house jobs, golf course maintenance to health and leisure jobs, golf can offer wide prospects to an aspirant. So if not a gifted player, you can still tee off a golf career as a golf course manager, a fitness specialist, a sales manager, or a green keeper.

The golf business today and the game itself, seek golf educated professionals. More than an understanding of the game, what you require is comprehensive knowledge in different types of golf facilities and related businesses and operations. For anyone who seeks a golf job, it is as important to acquire this knowledge as the mastery in the game.

New york yankees tickets - is this the team that gets number 27

New York Yankees tickets have always been hard to find, but in recent seasons, the loyal fan base and the owner have become increasingly impatient with the team’s championship “drought” of seven years. Most teams in MLB should be stuck in such a “rut,” but the Yankees are just a little different than most other teams. They’re expected to win it all every year, and this season is no different. Below we’ll take a look at their overall prospects for the 2007 season.

Offseason Changes

The Yankees were amazingly quiet this offseason, even though they’ve traditionally been one of the biggest players on the free agent market. Their “moves” involved rumors more than actual transactions, and these rumors included the possible departure of Joe Torre, but he is returning for another season. The team also added 1B Doug Mientkiewicz with a one-year contract, P Kei Igawa and IF Juan Miranda. These are hardly planet-shattering moves, but each of them could definitely be seen as solid for the overall depth of the team.

Players to Watch

For better or for worse, many New York Yankees tickets are purchased for the right to either cheer or jeer Alex Rodriguez. This super-talented superstar is always the main attraction, and this season will be no different. If he’s right, there’s nobody better, but if he’s off, he’s a lightning rod for criticism. It’s always one extreme or the other for A-rod.

Of course, the team is much deeper than just Rodriguez. In fact, as usual, the Yankees are loaded. That starts with SS Derek Jeter, continues with the likes of Jason Giambi and is completed with difficult outs like Johnny Damon, Bobby Abreu and the return of OF Hideki Matsui. When the Yankees are healthy, there’s no better batting order in the majors.

2007 Outlook

As it seems to be every season, the AL East will most likely come down to the Yankees and the Red Sox. This year could see the Blue Jays contend as well, but at most this will be a three-team race for the division title. The Yankees are unbelievably talented, but their pitching staff is far from dominant and this is not a young team.

Therefore, they need to stay healthy and get a decent ERA from their staff so that Mariano Rivera, considered by many to be the greatest closer of all time, can earn his saves and keep the Yankees at the top of the standings. It’s going to come down to the stretch run in September and October, but expect the Yankees to be there as always, and expect New York Yankees tickets to be difficult to find.

3 tips to choose the camping backpack that s right for you

When asked about the right camping backpack, most people who do not have any experience in camping will say that it is just a bag. The kind of back one chooses is not a small issue to people who have experience in camping. You will never be grateful for a good backpack until and unless you have bad experience with a bad one.

For instance, a trekker who went on a trip to Appalachians in the year 1994 went back home broken and bleeding from the heaviness of a bad backpack which caused his hips to be injured. Ten years later, he was a lot wiser and experienced than he was before; he took a better backpack and had a better and much more fun-filled experience.

Since we have decided the necessity of a good pack, given below are few tips that will help you choose a good backpack for your camping trip:

1. Recognize your requirements - The preferences of trekkers and campers are different. Some people take as minimum instruments as possible on their trips where as some take more.

Whatever that is that you may take with you, it will be a basis for what kind of backpack you will require. Assess your space requirements. In fact, most of the capable sales persons can assist you choose the right pack with the amount of space you need. While you are on this, try measuring the instrument that you may want to take for the longest trip that you intend to go.

In order to know how a pack can help in this, you will have to check out the pack yourself. Usually most camp stores have sand weights to put in the pack. You can examine how this pack can hold the weight and before deciding to buy it, make sure that the pack is comfortable.

The most important point that you should remember is that shoulder strap should carry about three-tenth of the weight where as the rest of the weight should be carried by the hips. While you are examining the pack, ensure that the shoulder straps are comfortable. It would be advisable to move about with the pack in order to determine how much mobility the pack can provide.

Usually most pack have sternum strap with them and these strap helps in stabilizing the pack. These straps are usually situated below to collar bone to guarantee comfort and steadiness.

The designs of the backpack will always be different and the backpack companies will always claim to have a new and improved pack for the purpose of camping. In order to know how good they are, just try them out.

3. Select your frame - You can choose between internal and external frames. The frames that are thinner and that hug your body closer are internal frames. These frames are perfect for hard paths as they are easily maneuvered and do not restrict the movements. However, these frames are a little difficult to load.

External frames are usually perfect for the beginners as they are not difficult to pack but they are a little stiff and may restrain the movements. This is the best kind of pack for children and the starters.

4. Miscellaneous - While you are buying your backpack, ask if the pack is well-suited to the different kinds of weather in order to protect your pack. Carson palmer pitches a great cause on american cornhole boards

The Game of Cornhole has the attention of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer and Lighthouse Youth Services of Cincinnati is cheering Who-Dey.

On Saturday September 1, 2007 the Cincinnati Bengals practice field was dotted with American Cornhole Tournament Series Cornhole Boards for the Second Annual Carson Palmer Cornhole Classic.

The Cornhole Classic is a fun-filled charity outing much different from a charity golf outing. The entire playing area is confined to the Cincinnati Bengals practice field allowing guests and participants to have much more one on one contact than at a golf outing. Whether signing autographs, talking football, or pitching cornhole bags, the atmosphere is relaxed and engaging.

The game of cornhole is simple. Pitch a bag of corn toward a 6" hole cutout on a 2' x 4' elevated board. In this event all boards are American Cornhole Boards. These are the best cornhole boards available. The boards are made of hardwood with all rounded edges, and the AC Cornhole Bags are the Official Tournament Series SoftTouch Bags, so excuses are limited to the individual not to the equipment.

The participants at this event vary in size and demeanor. Each having their own special cornhole bag delivery and style, hoping to be good enough to win the round they are playing in so as to avoid elimination and go on to the next round.

Proceeds from the Carson Palmer Cornhole Classic go to Cincinnati based Lighthouse Youth Services. Carson is a strong supporter of the Emancipated Youth Program of Lighthouse Youth Services that provides supervised apartment living and aftercare services for youth 18 and over who have been discharged from HCJFS custody.

It's true the Carson Palmer pass game is setting records for the Cincinnati Bengals, however it is his cornhole pitch that is making a difference in lives at Lighthouse Youth Services.

Choosing the right salmon and steelhead rod

Recently I had a chance to make a new friend with someone looking to get into fishing. When I asked him what he intended to fish with, he told me about some of the recommendations he’d been given. As a result of the “advice” he received, he ended up with a "tweener". That is, a rod that is in between, or can be used to fish for more than one species.

When choosing a rod, you want to pick one that BEST suits what you are fishing for. As I mentioned in one my earlier articles, when I first started fishing for these larger fish (Salmon/Steelhead), I didn’t know anyone who was really into it. So I asked the guy at the store, and he showed me a "tweener" rod. Let me tell you right away...it doesn’t work like that. It can catch you fish yes, but to really get into fishing, you want to use what works best.

Salmon Rods

Depending on where you intend to fish, these guys can reach the 50+ lb class. Are you going to be able to work one of these guys using the 10-20 lb rod (“tweener” rod) you got? Probably not. When fishing for Silvers (Coho) that rod is perfect, as these fish typically run in the 10-20 lb class. Sometimes a bit bigger but you get the idea.

When hooking into a Chinook, you need something with backbone and power. Something heavy enough to handle the ride these fish are going to give you.

Typically, your average salmon rod is rated 12-25 lbs. and 8'6" in length. This rod will give you the strength you need, as well as the length for casting ability. This rod is not going to be quite as sensitive, but that’s okay since Salmon typically are not going to "nibble" at your presentation. They will smell it, maybe think about it, but once decided...they just take it. No pecking at it like a steelhead would.

Once you set the hook...Look out! When that hook gets set these guys will come un-glued. Again, at that point you need some power in the rod in order to control or fight them. Remember, these fish are running 20 lbs on up. You’re in for a fight.

If you’re going to be fishing from a boat, you may want to go a bit smaller in length. Maybe 7'6", or 7'9". You don't need quite as much length when you aren’t casting out far, or not casting at all, as when running Kwik-fish, or bait with diver or back-bouncing.

When these monsters hit and bury your rod you’ll be glad you have that stiffer, heavier action. Again, hang on. Once hooked they’ll go nuts. Not out of the water nuts (usually not), but straight down, and up and down the stretch of water you’re fishing.

Steelhead Rods

Steelhead are totally different critters. Where salmon will bite primarily out of hunger, steelhead will also strike out of irritation. Steelhead will strike at something simply because it is in there way, or territory.

With that in mind you need a rod that is more sensitive where you are able to feel the bite or strike. I recommend a fast action rod. These are also 8'6" in length, but this time we want to go with a 8-12 lb rod. This class of rod is much lighter than those of 12-25 lbs. If you are looking at the G-Loomis rod, you are going to see 8-17 lb extra-fast action. This is the rod of all rods. You will feel everything with this rod. It’s stiff, but surprisingly sensitive. Having that stiffness will also help in your hook set.

In my experience with steelhead, they usually come at you quick. Whether bite or strike, it happens fast. Sometimes they slam you, and sometimes your line or drift will stop, but usually for me it happens quick. Bang, or "tap tap", in these instances you need a quick hook set. That is where a good, light fast action rod is an advantage. The rod picks up on the hit, and gives you time to react. Again, with my IMX rod...there is no missing it. I may miss the hook set, but I know when the fish was there.

When you do set the hook and get a fish on, oh baby, be ready for some action. I love the mass of a salmon, but in my opinion there is no fight like a steelhead. These guys come up out of the water head-shaking, upriver, downriver, you name it.

Again, if you are in the boat you can afford to go a bit shorter for the same scenario as above...plugs, bait/diver, etc...

Brands can be hard to choose from as there are quite a few. If you aren’t going with the top 2 (Loomis & Lamiglas), go with something reasonably priced but dependable. I have narrowed my search to the IM7 rod by Berkley. It's a great rod for the money, and gives you great dependability. Depending on where you are geographically there are more or less options, but the Berkley rod can easily be found just about anywhere.

Lastly, don't be afraid to ask questions. Just don't ask for a rod that "can do both". We all know what that gets you. If you tell them what type of fishing you are mostly doing they can get you started. They will probably ask you how much you want to spend at that point. After that it all boils down to opinions.
